Head of School's Welcome
Welcome to Delaware County Christian School.
Delaware County Christian School (DC) provides a unique combination of spiritual vitality and academic rigor within a caring community.
Since 1950, DC has provided a strong spiritual foundation for students. Students are taught the scriptures from early childhood through Senior Apologetics. Students are not given "canned" Christian answers to life's deepest questions; instead they are challenged to think from a biblical worldview. They also have many opportunities to put their faith into action, through ministry participation at school, in their churches, in the community and through international travel and missions trips.
However, DC does not compromise academic excellence while providing this biblical foundation. A challenging academic agenda begins in the elementary years and continues through high school. Many DC students complete college credit through Advanced Placement or dual-credit courses. More than 95% of DC graduates go on to college. Academic rigor at DC means high expectations with support and encouragement.
DC provides a holistic education. Exceptional programs in instrumental music, choral music, visual arts and drama are available in all divisions. Middle and high school students have opportunity to participate in over 40 athletic teams.
DC values academic, ethnic, socio-economic and denominational diversity. Our students come from over 160 different churches in the Delaware Valley. Over 20% of the student body represent ethnic minorities.
At DC, students learn to reason critically and act biblically, while being loved and encouraged by an experienced, professional and godly faculty and staff. An education in which Jesus Christ is central will influence the whole course of a student's life. Come visit and see for yourself!
