I grew up in the Philadelphia area and had the privilege of attending DC from kindergarten through 12th grade. I can remember each and every one of my teachers. They loved their students, loved their particular class of study and their passion for both was evident. With a deep faith and church commitments at the center of our weekly activities, my parents realized early the profound impact that a well rounded education incorporating Christian principles could have in the lives of my sister and me.

After DC, I attended Millersville State University where I initially went to study Geology, but discovered that I loved to teach and had a desire to emulate the teachers that had influenced my life and use the gifts that God have given me for that purpose. I am privileged to be able to teach subjects in fifth grade that I am personally passionate about, including science and history.

Along with teaching, I have enjoyed being a Sunday School Superintendent, Camp Retreat Director for Middle and High School students, coaching Middle School Girls Basketball, and starting the French Creek and Summer Camping Trips which allow students to experience camping while learning and having fun at the same time.

I have loved and continue to love teaching at DC for two reasons. First, while academics at DC has always been important, it has been more important to truly teach these academics from a biblical perspective. The Bible has been kept as the guide to all that DC does. Those that have been placed in positions of leadership have always been led of the Lord. Second, as I teach science, history and math, I also have the privilege of sharing with my students the joys of being a Christian, loving the Lord and serving the Lord daily.
