My primary years were spent in Philadelphia. I love my city roots and to this day feel a connection to the rich culture of city life. Upon completing Middle and High School in South Jersey, returning to Philadelphia to attend Cairn University (then PBU), was a welcome adventure. Graduate school at Ithaca College afforded me the opportunity to study with great teachers and to strengthen my faith and witness for Christ. After grad school, with the world open to me, I had a heart-felt conversation with my pastor challenging me to consider music education just to 'get my feet wet'. And so began my journey that has lasted until today.

I am blessed to teach vocal music, a subject that involves the body, soul and spirit, daily going beyond spoken word to a deeper language. When taught well, music challenges and stretches the intellect, while soothing the soul. It's my goal to teach my students to produce quality music that makes people think... and feel...that's never easy.
