I have always enjoyed working with and teaching children. I come from a long line of teachers! It is in my blood! However, my career as a teacher began at DC when I came here as a student teacher many years ago. I received my BSED and MA at West Chester University in Elementary Education and Reading. My goal was and continues to be that each child I have the privilege of teaching will become more secure and more confident in their ability to read, to understand it and to apply it in some way.

When I am not teaching I enjoy being with my husband and our two children. A few of my favorite things are biking long distances, photography, sewing, baking, and reading.
