I was raised in a bi-cultural home; my dad met my mom while on a missions trip teaching English in China, so an appreciation for language, cross-cultural communication and teaching was instilled in me from an early age.  While in middle school I wanted to take any other language besides Spanish, but my mom insisted I take it and I have been in love with the Spanish language ever since!  I graduated with a Spanish Education degree and PA K-12 certification from Grove City College.

Ever since I can remember I have always loved school and loved learning.  In college I felt a strong call to missions in Asia and was very torn because of my intended career path as a teacher and my love for Spanish.  During this time I had the opportunity to travel to China, where I studied Mandarin, and Singapore, where I interned with Youth with a Mission (YWAM). While I was in Singapore, God revealed to me that my heart to serve Him in a cross-cultural way and my passion for teaching did not have to be two separate things.  It has been amazing to see how He is at work while I am pursuing what I am passionate about.  I love teaching and I love high schoolers; each day is an adventure and no day is the same as the last!
