Faculty

DC has 90 highly qualified faculty members (full and part time) with a student-faculty ratio of 10 to 1. Average class size is 18 students. Two thirds of the faculty have graduate degrees.

Diversity

DC is a diverse community in multiple ways:

      • 38% of the student body represents ethnic minorities
      • International students from seven countries are enrolled.
      • Families attending the school represent over 140 churches.
      • The college preparatory curriculum supports academic diversity with resource rooms and learning support.

Technology

The Lower School is equipped with classroom Smartboards and a computer lab adjacent to the library. Early childhood education utilizes iPads.

The Middle School is equipped with classroom Smartboards and classroom sets of Chromebooks. The middle school also has a computer lab.

Each Upper School student is issued a Chromebook as part of our 1:1 initiative. Upper School classrooms are equipped with Smartboards and DC has both a PC lab and MAC lab in the Upper School.

Governance

Delaware County Christian School (DC) is an independent Christian school incorporated as a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation under the name Delaware County Christian School Society, Inc. The school is governed by a Board of Trustees elected by current parents, faculty, staff, and former parents and alumni who financially contribute to the school. As “keepers” of DC’s Mission, the Board of Trustees is responsible for ensuring the DC Mission is realized both today and in the future, through establishing strategic direction of the school and providing oversight of the Head of School.

 

DC is fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA) and the Association of Christian School International (ACSI).

DC is a diverse community in multiple ways. 24% of the student body represents ethnic minorities. International students from seven countries represent nearly 10% of high school students. One third of the student body receives financial aid. Families attending the school represent over 160 churches. The college preparatory curriculum supports academic diversity with resource rooms and learning support.
