Serve God and
Impact the World
Our Mission is to educate students who will
through biblical thought and action.
DC Promise
We prepare our students for a life of impact through an innovative and exemplary education rooted in Christ.
Core Values
Rooted in Christ
All we do, teach and learn is rooted in Christ.
Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.
Colossians 2:6,7
Scholarship
We cultivate our God-given intellect and become passionate, lifelong learners.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.
Proverbs 9:10
Excellence
Doing everything to the Glory of God compels us to excellence.
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.
Colossians 3:23
Community
Our diverse community values partnership, collaboration and strong personal relationships.
With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Ephesians 4:2,3
Servanthood
As servant-leaders, we recognize our calling to influence culture for good.
But it shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Mark 10: 43-45
Impact
Reasoning critically and acting biblically, we are equipped to impact the world for Christ.
You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 5: 14,16

One word to describe DC
DC offers Christ-centered education, high-quality academics, a host of extracurricular activities, and genuine community.
Connected through Purpose
My DC education was truly well-rounded - I was prepared academically, given opportunities to develop in the arts and athletics, I made great friendships and grew spiritually throughout my time as a student.
God of Order
Returning to DC as a parent, it is a joy to see teachers impacting my children and displaying the Gospel through their words and actions. DC may be rich in academics and sports, but the teachers leave lifelong legacies in the hearts of their students.

Our innovative and exemplary education
Early Childhood Center
Grades PK2 - K
Young children are naturally inquisitive and love to learn. Students in grades PK2-Kindergarten participate in a Christ-centered education while allowing them to play, move and engage with the world around them.
Lower School
Grades 1 - 5
Lower school students are invited each day to engage in learning that has its framework within God’s Story. Learning is transformative when students discover God’s world and engage in it as image bearers of Christ participating in kingdom work.
Middle School
Grades 6 - 8
The middle school years hold unique opportunities to nurture students as they develop spiritually, physically, socially and emotionally toward the goal of impacting their world through biblical thought and action.
Upper School
Grades 9 - 12
The Upper School inspires students and graduates to be winsome disciples who make level paths for their feet, persevere through adversity with character and hope, and stand firm in Christlike love.
The DC Distinctive
Spiritual formation is woven through all we do.
Athletics
We view sports as an act of worship and a way to train students to live for Christ.
History
DC has a rich history testifying to God's faithfullness. From its humble beginnings in a church basement to a multi-campus institution, DC has grown through prayer, sacrifice, and God's provision. Emphasizing academic excellence and spiritual growth, DC continues to educate students to serve God and impact the world through biblical thought and action.
Outdoor Learning
Guided by Proverbs 4:26 “Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways” our students are called to be stewards of God's creation through thoughtfully designed lessons that take place outdoors and adventure based learning curriculum at key grade levels.
Innovation
The Center for Innovation exists to equip our community with a posture of innovation and to apply the liberal arts education in the world out of love for God and for His Kingdom.
Student Leadership
Students have many opportunities to develop as leaders. With Christ-like servant leadership as the model, students are mentored how to lead and cultivate a positive culture that values relationships and catalyses others to action.
Arts
Student artists are taught to recognize the discipline and dedication needed to truly honor God with their craft.
Two Campuses, One Mission
With two campuses covering 49 acres in the western suburbs of Philadelphia, DC serves PK2-12 students across four divisions. At the heart of our vibrant and diverse community is a commitment to nurturing academically and spiritually grounded leaders ready to impact the world for Christ.
