DC not only prepared me for college with its rigorous academics but also ignited my passion for my career. My DC teachers instilled in me a desire to become an educator, and they taught me, by example, much about what it means to be a good teacher. My high school faculty advisor influenced my life, largely through time spent in conversation. She devoted time to knowing me as an individual, and I was educated, encouraged, challenged, and blessed by her mentorship throughout high school.
