If you’re ready to apply today, create an account on Blackbaud our online admission and enrollment software. After you submit your application, your checklist will appear in your Blackbaud account.

4. Admissions Assessment

Admissions Assessment

Upon receiving a submitted application, the Admissions office will arrange and schedule all entrance testing and development screenings. Grades PK2-1st participate in group and/or individual readiness assessments. Applicants to grades 2-6 sit for the STAR entrance exam. Students applying to grades 7 & 8 will be administered the NWEA assessment. Applicants entering grades 9-12 require an ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam) entrance test.

5. Financial Aid

Financial Aid

Submit an application (if applicable)

DC is committed to making education accessible for as many families as possible. An independent third party administrator (Blackbaud Financial Aid Management) determines financial aid eligibility based on a family’s individual financial profile. We encourage families to begin the financial aid application process as soon as possible.

7. Student Visit

Student Visit

Applicants are encouraged, but not required to spend a day visiting with their current grade level peers to experience DC’s unique learning environment.

8. Admissions Decision

Admission Decision

Upon the Admissions Committee’s decision, you will receive a letter from the Admissions Office.

Please follow the instructions on the letter to accept an offer of enrollment or feel free to contact the admissions office if you have further questions about the admissions decision.

9. Enrollment

Enrollment

We must receive your completed enrollment contract along with a $425 enrollment fee within two weeks of the offer to secure your spot.
