Delaware County Christian School has announced plans to begin construction of a new multi-sport turf field on the school’s Upper Campus.
Head of School Dan Steinfield notes construction will begin in early May with a target completion date of August 1, 2020. Anchor Management Company in Conshohocken, PA is serving as the project engineer and installation contractor.
The new field, made possible by the generosity of several donors, will be constructed on the site of the school’s existing grass athletic field on the lower portion of the school’s 16-acre campus which faces Goshen Road.
Construction of the field will utilize an environmentally friendly cork infill. The project does not include lights and is primarily for school use.
Mr. Steinfield notes “This new field will be a significant enhancement to support DC’s athletic program and marketing efforts. The project will have minimal impact on our neighbors, will not change any existing layouts of the physical campus, requires a minimal grading permit which has been approved by Newtown Township, and will present high yield for our current school programs.”
