Boys Soccer Team Poised to Make an Impact This Season

September 6, 2022

The Delaware County Christian School Boys Soccer Team is poised to make an impact in the 2022 season.

While a younger team compared to recent years, the Knights have a strong core of leaders in captains Nick Vavala ‘23, Jake Johnson ‘23, and Cody Dill ‘24. “Senior Blake Tanis is stepping between the posts for the Knights this year as a first-year keeper but already showing himself to be an impact player,” said Coach Rob Atkins. “Surrounding those leaders are some younger players who have bought into the team’s philosophy – and style of play –  and are ready to compete this season.”

The Knights opened the season with an 11-1 victory over Upper Bucks Christian School on August 30. On September 2, the Knights bounced back from a first half deficit to beat Perkiomen Valley 2-1.
