Knights Show Great Resolve at the Start of the Season

Basketball season is here, and the Delaware County Christian School (DC) Girls Basketball Team is off to a winning start. The Knights currently hold a record of 4-1, the only loss came by 3 points. The team has shown great resolve in coming back to win games after facing early deficits, while also learning how to win games by building and maintaining leads throughout. DC is led in scoring and rebounding by junior Ashanti Harris, averaging 13.5 points and 13 rebounds a game. Senior Sarah Stahl leads in assists and steals, averaging 5.8 and 3.5, respectively.

After going 16-10 and reaching the district final last season, the team has been motivated by the thought of returning to the championship and earning a trip to the state playoffs. “High-energy practices have translated into better performance in games, and I expect us to continue to progress throughout the season,” said Coach Stephen Poyser.
