The sun was out on a bright and warm afternoon as students, parents, staff and friends gathered on May 18, 2022 to celebrate God’s blessing on the DC community and dedicated the new Varsity Baseball Field to His glory.

The Philadelphia Phillies representatives: Jeff Boettcher (Chaplain of the Philadelphia Phillies, Pastor at Christ Church South Philadelphia, and son of former DC teacher and alum Warren Boettcher ‘77), and Former Phillies Pitcher and current radio announcer Larry Anderson were present to share a few words of wisdom and pray for our school and athletes.

Festivities included a ribbon cutting with the Varsity Baseball Team, first pitch by Phillies Larry Anderson, and the national anthem sung by varsity baseball player, Ben Petrulis ‘22. Baseball stadium fare was provided by the Athletic Boosters to complete the game experience.
