DC Girls Soccer, led by first year head coach Rob Irias, had its participation numbers grow by 39% from 2020 with an influx of talented freshman athletes getting their first experiences with high school soccer. The team opened the season with a loss to Faith Christian. However, they showed continual improvement and built consistency and continuity throughout the season. The final product was fun to watch, and the Knights made the playoffs as a fourth seed before falling to Faith in the first round, competing well but losing 3-0.
Goalie Suzannah Green (Sophomore) was fantastic throughout the season, making several highlight reel saves that kept the Knights in games. The future is bright as the team continues to gain experience and build its confidence moving forward.
