The District 1AA Singles Tournament was played on Friday / Saturday and Brette Foutch made the finals before falling to last year’s state champion. Congratulations Brette on a great season!

Varsity Boys Soccer (4-6)

The Knights are playing extremely hard and despite going 1-2 in the last three game stretch, they had two of the most exciting games of the fall this past week. The first contest against Barrack Hebrew Academy was a chippy, physical, defensive game that remained scoreless through regulation and one overtime. The game was finally won by Ryan Parker 37 seconds into the second OT. The second contest was a back and forth affair that was tied 2-2 heading into overtime. The game was destined for a tie until Lower Moreland scored a goal with less than 5 seconds left in the second overtime.

The team will be back in action this week against MaST and Calvary Christian Academy.

Results this past week: Loss (3-0) vs Holy Ghost Prep on 9/25; Win (1-0) vs Barrack Hebrew Academy on 9/26; Loss (3-2) vs Lower Moreland on 9/27.

The team is nursing several injuries but still giving their best effort and battling in their games. Despite losing two games last week, the team is looking forward to the opportunity to right the ship this week against Philmont and MaST.

The Lady Knights experienced the thrill of victory this past week in their win against Morrisville and are really playing great defense even in their losses. They enter the final third of their season just two spots away from a playoff berth and need a stretch of winning contests to secure a berth.
