Tara Eisenhart, Head Varsity Cheerleading Coach
DC Alumni (Class of 2006)
Coach Tara grew up in the competitive dance world until she came to DC in 6th grade and discovered her love for Cheerleading. It became her passion and she shifted her focus primarily to the sport. Her time cheering at DC molded her into a competitive cheerleader. She continued on to cheer at Philadelphia Biblical University and then became an All Star Competitive Cheerleader for Motion All Stars. She continued to cheer into her early 20’s and after she retired from cheering herself, she began coaching. Coach Tara has over 5 years experience coaching Cheerleading and Tumbling. She coached the DC middle school cheerleading squad back in 2010-2011. She lead that team to win first place at the Garnet Valley Cheer Challenge and continued on to win a bid to FCC Nationals in Orlando, FL where the girls placed 2nd.
Coach Tara's theme verse is Ecclesiastes 9:10, which instructs us that in “whatever we do, do it with all our might”. She believes that instilling values such as goal-setting, teamwork, patience, strength and integrity are integral parts of the role that a coach needs to play in the lives of their athletes. These values are not only an important part of the sport but more crucially, are disciplines that will help athletes grow in their relationship with God. Coach Tara has a strong vision for the Cheerleading program at DC and she is excited to develop a strong, confident teams.
