Come join us in Philly!

Date: Friday - July 03, 2009
Time: 2:00 PM
Location: Welcome Park
Tour begins on 2nd Street across from the City Tavern

DC Alumni are invited to take a guided historical tour given by Kyle Farley '90. The tour will cover Philadelphia from its founding in 1682 through 1800. We will look at political, social, and religious history, and will cover the Revolutionary War (not recommended for young children).

We will plan to make a stop for coffee at Xando's on 2nd and Lombard during the tour.

Kyle Farley graduated from DC in 1990 and then graduated from Calvin College. Kyle went on to pursue a Ph.D. in American History at the University of Pennsylvania. While at Penn he co-founded a tour company, Poor Richard's Walking Tours, as an outlet for public history. Over the years he gave hundreds of tours, including tours to DC's AP U.S. History classes with Dr. George McFarland. Kyle is now the Dean of Jonathan Edwards College at Yale University.
