Sharing God’s Love Through Cookies
Each year in December, the DC community comes together for a beloved (and delicious) tradition: the Christmas Cookie Outreach. Parents–and even some students–use their talents to bake dozens of homemade treats, filling tables with everything from peppermint bark to sugar cookies to gingersnaps. On the morning of Tuesday, December 9, volunteers gathered to sort, pack, and pray over more than 150 cookie boxes, each one prepared with care for DC friends and neighbors. Then, with the help of some of our student leaders, boxes of cookies were delivered throughout the afternoon from Coatesville to Springfield to Wayne.
What makes this morning so meaningful isn’t just the cookies themselves, but the heart behind them. The Christmas Cookie Outreach is a tangible expression of Christ. By showing hospitality, sharing joy, and building relationships, we can remind those around us that they are seen and loved during this season. We are grateful for every baker, every volunteer, and every recipient who helps make this tradition a sweet reflection of the hope we have in Christ.
