The curtain will rise, the lights will shine and 18 DC students will take the stage for a reimagined production of the annual Upper School Spring Musical. Based on the famous comic strip, PEANUTS, by Charles M. Schultz, Books, Music and Lyrics by Clark Gesner, Additional Dialogue by Michael Mayer and Additional Music and Lyrics by Andrew Lippa, the classic musical, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown brings the whole gang together including Lucy, Schroeder, Snoopy, Linus, Sally, and of course Charlie Brown, accompanied by their classmates. This sweet musical is a perfect show for people of all ages.

Like previous years, this year’s production includes more than 40 students overseeing set and costume design, lighting and sound.

While many schools in the area will not be showcasing a spring show due to the worldwide pandemic, DC administration in conjunction with the school’s Pandemic Safety Officer have implemented safety measures to continue this annual tradition. Students have been rehearsing for several months in masks and will be remote learning during the week prior to filming and the week following, along with several scheduled rapid covid testing days in order to professionally film this year’s production. The show will then be available for viewing Friday, April 9 and twice on Saturday, April 10. Tickets can be purchased by visiting https://www.itickets.com/events/451656.html. A ticket purchased is per household, per show and the link is non transferable.
