Dean of Students Appointed
Shellina Marshall

Delaware County Christian School is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Shellina Marshall as the Upper Campus Dean of Students for the 2022-2023 academic year. In this role, Shellina will be responsible for overall school culture, particularly as it relates to student accountability and discipline. The Dean of Students will serve as a member of the Upper Campus Leadership Team and report to the Head of Middle School and Head of Upper School, jointly. Mrs. Marshall will work alongside the Division Heads on vision-casting and implementation of student programming for grades 6-12. This position will enable the Middle School Head and Upper School Head to focus primarily on faculty development and the academic leadership of their respective divisions.

Most recently, Mrs. Marshall served as Resident Director/House Parent at Radnor ABC where she supports student academic and social growth, oversees areas of concern including disciplinary action, and helps to establish healthy school culture and life. Prior to her time at Radnor ABC, Shellina served as the Director of Children's and Family Ministry at Springton Lake Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Marshall holds a B.A. in Youth Ministries from Eastern University, a M.A. in Biblical Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary, and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Professional Counseling from Eastern University.

When asked to give a statement of her philosophy of Christian education, Mrs. Marshall said,  “Proverbs 22:6 says ‘Train a child in the way that he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.’ This is the scripture I turned to when considering a Christian education. This passage sets a foundation so much so that when the struggles and perils of this life try to pull you away, the foundation is solid and deep and pulls you back in.”

She is excited to serve the students at Delaware County Christian School in an atmosphere where she can share the love and grace from God. “I feel this call so deeply from the Lord. I have been called to be a minister of the Gospel to our youth. I have been called to walk alongside children, teens and their families in times of celebration and hardships. There is a deep well that the Lord has placed within me to reach the next generation from children all the way to young adults and I long to fulfill my Savior’s call.”

Mrs. Marshall will officially assume her Dean of Students role August 1, 2022.
