Kenneth H. Tanis Endowment Fund
DC Fall Foliage at Upper Campus
Ken Tanis

In 2019, the Kenneth H. Tanis Endowment Fund was established to honor the service of DC’s second Head of School, my father. “Mr. Tanis” served the school for over twenty-two years and continued to pour into the life of the school long after his retirement in 2012.

Mr. Tanis believed in the power of community and worked tirelessly on behalf of DC to build a vibrant community of believers committed to the work of educating young minds around a biblical worldview. He firmly believed every family yearning for Christian education should be given that opportunity, regardless of financial limitations.

The Kenneth H. Tanis Endowment Fund is earmarked for families who have sacrificed to send their children to DC and are experiencing a temporary hardship that jeopardizes their ability to pay tuition. This endowment is intended to bridge that gap.

To date, the Kenneth H. Tanis Endowment Fund has neared $800,000. The Tanis/Pott family has a goal to grow this fund to $1,000,000 by June 2023, and has committed a match of $100,000 and is asking for your help to realize this goal. Upon reaching this goal, 4% of the average fair market value of the fund from the past year will be distributed as necessary to support families facing temporary hardship and will continue as needed annually.

To support the Kenneth H. Tanis Endowment Fund and to help meet the match, gifts can be made to Delaware County Christian School with Tanis Endowment Fund written in the memo section. If one desires to contribute in another manner, please contact Allison Stinger, Director of Development, at astinger@dccs.org or (610) 353-6522 x2284.

On behalf of the Tanis/Pott family and Delaware County Christian School, we thank you and the countless others who will support and have supported this fund to date.
