Lower Campus Hosts EXPLORE! Night

EXPLORE! Night was an inspiring night of celebrating the artistic creativity and musical abilities of Lower Campus students from PK4-5th grade. The hallways were transformed into art galleries featuring art from each grade, and the HIVE, the Orchard and the gym were abuzz with students and parents.

In addition to hearing performances from the Lower School Band and enjoying the art show, EXPLORE! Night wove together learning from various disciplines around the theme of God’s creation of outer space. In the HIVE, students explored the history of space and learned about astronauts in history and space exploration today. Students discovered the beauty of spiral galaxies in the Orchard and learned about centrifugal forces as they designed their own spin art creations. Perhaps the most animated space of all was the gym that hosted the STEM activity where students learned about aerodynamics as they constructed, powered, and launched their own rocket launcher.
