Report on the Annual Society Meeting
Annual Society Meeting

March 9, 2022
Dear Members of the DC Community,
It was a pleasure to see so many of you who attended Delaware County Christian School’s Annual Society Meeting this past Monday evening. This night of worship and recommitment to our school is a wonderful tradition at DC. On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I want to express our thanks to all parents, faculty, staff, and members of the DC Society for your continued support of Christian education and, more specifically, for your commitment to the mission, vision, and values of our school.
A highlight of the evening, for me, was hearing Head of School, Dan Steinfield, share responses from the 2022 Alumni Survey. It is tremendously encouraging to hear DC Alumni speak so highly of their experiences at DC, of how staff and faculty poured into their lives, and how their DC education shaped their character for life.

“It means everything to me. It set me up for success in college, my career, and my life with how to be a good father and husband.”

“DC gave me a really good biblical foundation in addition to my family/ church as I moved into higher education. I am grateful for continued faculty support even long after graduation.”

“I’m very thankful that my parents sacrificed to send me to DC for 12 years! I would not be the person I am today without the foundation I received during those formative years.”

In addition to hearing an update from the Board and the Director of Development, we had the pleasure of celebrating service anniversaries for many DC faculty and staff. It was a joy to celebrate Jody Puckett ‘74 for her remarkable 36 years of service as she retires at the end of the school year.

I am pleased to announce Chris Barbee, Yvonne Bryant, Andy Iott, Jeff Jue, and Michael Oh were affirmed as Trustees on the Board of Trustees. Each begins a three-year term of service on July 1, 2022. I want to thank them for their willingness to serve on the Board and their dedication to DC.
As we move closer to the end of another school year, I encourage you to join me in continuing to pray earnestly for the leadership of our school, perseverance for faculty & staff, and for God’s continued blessing upon our students and community.

Thank you again for your continued support of Delaware County Christian School.

President, DC Board of Trustees
