Where Discovery and Creativity Meet
The new Center for Innovation and the Arts will reimagine the current upper school library and adjoining classrooms into a vibrant, light-filled hub designed to spark imagination, creativity, and collaboration. This transformed upper school wing will serve as the home of our Center for Innovation Programs, featuring a cutting-edge Maker Space equipped with state-of-the-art engineering tools and a professional recording and video studio.
Upstairs, two spacious, sunlit art studios will provide inspiring spaces for middle and upper school students to create and explore, alongside a welcoming resource room for study and support. A new elevator and connecting staircase will ensure that the entire space is fully accessible, opening the doors for every student to dream, design, and discover.
DC is developing an ecosystem not just for STEM-minded students. The Center for Innovation and the Arts promises all students the opportunity to access tools that will allow them to explore the world, know it better, solve problems, and apply solutions. Jim Favino
