Gala Auction Raises $55,000
Posted 11/03/2011 01:39PM

October 15, 2011 was a special evening for the DC community as we hosted our first “Gala Auction” at The Lamb in Springfield, Pennsylvania. With more than 120 folks on hand -- representing multiple generations of the DC family from former students, to former faculty and staff, to alumni parents, DC grandparents, as well as current parents and DC faculty & staff -- the evening was filled with dining and bidding and just plain fun in support of our wonderful school! At the close of the evening, not only were old friends reunited and new friendships formed, but a total of $55,000 was raised in support of our school!

An event like this would never be possible without the generous donations from both individuals and businesses. The Auction Steering Committee would like to thank so many for the gift of time, talents and treasures that have been given so generously in recent months.

We would like to thank our gracious host – The Lamb of Springfield -- and in particular Pete and Linda Crisanti for truly making this night a reality!

We would like to thank our auctioneers – Tony Proto and Russ Nixon – for providing their signature wit, humor, and pure entertainment to bid by!

We would like to thank the many area businesses, professionals, restaurants and individuals that have made amazing donations thus far for our 15th Benefit Auction Year! Please keep them in mind when you shop and dine. These items continue to be the heartbeat of an Auction Year with still more fun ahead through our Online Auction and May 12, 2012 Family Auction Day!
